About American Jazz Venues

History

Who We Are And Why We Need Your Help:

American Jazz Venues is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization formed by Jazz artists, educators, and Jazz enthusiasts from diverse professions and backgrounds. Organized in 2001, our singular focus is on the health and survival of America’s indigenous musical art form, Jazz.

We strive to put Jazz artists in front of live audiences, perhaps furtively educating our audiences in the process. Each performance includes a strong educational component, and our intent is to partner with local ensembles from the scholastic community. That’s where the new audiences are developing, and we want to encourage this development.

AJV is resolved to address the challenges of our mission but can only accomplish our goals with your assistance and support. Your belief in our cause will provide the impetus to move our mission forward. Jazz must live and flourish.

Please consider becoming a supporting member of American Jazz Venues with a tax-deductible donation to help AJV preserve our music and fulfill our mission. In return for a contribution of $25.00 or more, you will receive the recent DVD of The American Jazz Repertory Orchestra performing its “Salute to American Jazz Orchestras” at William Paterson University.
